In Step 1, the initial business architecture champion(s) and practitioners gain an understanding of what business architecture is and is not, how it can be used, and where it fits within an enterprise context. The initial practitioners also attain level 1 Certified Business Architect® certification. (Note: Business architecture practitioners will need a much deeper dive to learn the business architecture discipline and attain level 1 certification as compared to the business architecture practice leaders.)

- Enroll in the Building a Strategic Business Architecture Practice program, which will guide you through every step of establishing and maturing a business architecture practice, supported by loads of canvases and tools. This program is essential for practice leaders and was designed just for you!
(6) Optional: Gain an in-depth understanding of the body of knowledge (BIZBOK® Guide)
- Attend the 5-day Business Architecture BootcampTM training from Business Architecture Associates to learn the details and help you prepare for the Certified Business Architect® (if desired)
- Or, complete training with another Guild Accredited Training Partner™ (GATP®) for BIZBOK® Guide-aligned training
