Program Description

Effective Communication For Business Architecture Success (EC) is a six-week hands-on program where you will gain the skills to have effective conversations that generate connection, garner trust, influence outcomes, and ultimately increase the value you bring as a business architect.

Business architecture leaders are vital in helping their organizations grow, transform, and ultimately succeed. Business architects unify people and connect the dots across organizational structures, products, and geographies. They turn strategy into reality. They design the organizations of tomorrow for value delivery, effectiveness, and agility. Business architects also encounter challenges along the way and are change agents to the most significant degree. Even the best and brightest may still hit a wall or see important ideas never catch fire. A key factor distinguishes a good business architect from a great business architect. What is that key factor? Effective communication.

During this program, you will learn the craft of effective conversations from an award-winning director, Tamara Park. After interviewing hundreds of leaders on five continents for television series and short films, Tamara has developed a story framework and conversation canvas. She will teach you how to have high-quality conversations that genuinely make a difference.

This one-of-a-kind program is tailored to the needs and realities of business architecture practice. It focuses on the most critical conversations in your role as business architect while equipping you with communication, leadership, and influence skills that will serve you well beyond the office. It will set you up to better understand what your leaders and team members most desire, what motivates them, where they are stuck, and how best you can come alongside them to turn strategy into reality. You will learn by doing in community with other high-caliber colleagues like yourself.

Who can best benefit from this program?

This program benefits anyone working in business architecture who must lead and influence others. The program prepares business architects to have a broad range of conversations, from articulating a target architecture for a strategy or transformation to building buy-in for the value of a business architecture practice.

Business architecture practitioners and business architecture leaders will find this program invaluable and other professionals working in strategy, strategic planning, transformation, product management, business design, business process, enterprise architecture, technology, business analysis, and other complementary roles.

How is the program designed?

We created Effective Communication For Business Architecture Success as a memorable and unique fusion between award-winning director Tamara Park and global business architecture expert Whynde Kuehn.

The six-week program focuses on the most critical conversations in your role as a business architecture leader while equipping you with communication, leadership, and persuasive skills that will serve you well outside of the office.

Each week we tackle a crucial conversation. We explore the mindsets you must embrace for that conversation to be effective. You will hone two human-centric leadership skill sets alongside each conversation to heighten your overall communication effectiveness.

During the final week, we examine practical ways you can scale your communication and relational skills to further the success of your business architecture practice within your company and beyond.

At the end of the six-week program, you will have honed your leadership skill sets for deep, empathetic listening and sharpened your pitch abilities for compelling, influential conversations with organizational leaders and your team. You'll have confidence when resolving discordant discussions and know how to bring the team together with successful collaborative communications.

This program is all about you and your success. We keep the group size cozy to maximize interaction among participants and with the facilitators.

You'll enjoy a balanced blend of expert teaching and practical application. Learning in small bites and by doing is most effective. The Biz Arch Mastery teaching methodology focuses on an iterative Learn-Reflect-Do-Share approach, which we co-create with participants.
